As I was reading “The world in 2014” issue of the Wired magazine, I have noticed that in terms of lifestyle the world is coming together to support some of the values and objectives of Uptitude 🙂
Here’s why:
2014 will be marked by the following headlines:
You are what you do, and not what you have! I particularly liked this one, as it reminds me of one of Lidia’s first seminars that I have attended. I totally resonate with it, and I believe its a great step further towards a more positive, caring, tolerant and happy society.
This headline comes along with other strong sentences:
– Intelligent, collaborative, consumption will grow at the expense of rivalrous, competitive consumption
– We will go from the more the merrier to less, but better
– Experiences will define you more than possessions
Experiences, I love this word! 2014 is about how do you chose to spend your time, and what is the value you will take out of those experiences. Don’t forget about the 4 primary food categories that are more important than what is in your plate: relationships, career, spirituality and exercise. Make sure you set your priorities and devote your time for each of them. Go for the experiences that will give you the energy to have a positive and effective attitude!
There will also be a shift from simple possession towards wider, shared and shareable possession. Sharing is caring, isn’t it? Something that comes along with the value of experiences. By sharing you get much more from an experience, than if you are on our own. Seeing the positive effect on another person makes you even happier, and builds on your self confidence.
We have the premises of a great year! Care more about what you do, than about what you have; share your experiences, those are the ones that define you; enjoy the growing impact of synergies, and ultimately the increased value for you and those around you.
Experience, sharing, less is more, collaboration : all great words that will be around us this year. Let’s make the best of it.
Cheers to a Uptitude lifestyle for 2014!
Roxana
